OUR STORY & PHILOSOPHY
Mill Farm Wood crafts started out with a chainsaw and making firewood from our home grown timber, indeed I helped planted a lot of it.
But it was time to start thinning out the trees otherwise its not good for them as they become thin and weedy.
So there I was cutting up all this wonderful timber thinking there must be another use for it rather than just heating the farmhouse, which is where Mill Farm Wood Crafts was born.
I purchased a second hand wood lathe and a few other tools and in 2016 I was ready to go.
All the wood comes from the farm or the local area and it is mainly turned green on the lathe, except for a few items that are more complicated or need to be flat.
Most of the wooden bowls, plates and masers I make can be used in the home or for reenactment or larping
I also make some items of furniture, but these are mainly in a rustic style, please see the gallery.
if you wish me to comision you to make something please do get in touch.
